Food for the week

 Last week I was on a roll trying out new Pinterest recipes.
Some where wonderful and some were ok and some were not.

Crocpot Chicken Tortilla Soup
This was my favorite of the recipes and we all loved it. It was the easiest thing to make

Pan Seared Chicken w Balsamic Cream
I enjoyed it and the Farmer said it was ok but the kids didnt enjoy it at all

Mini Chicken Pot Pie
These were so much fun to feed the kids and we enjoyed them I did make a few seasoning choices but over all they were great. Easy to make also. 

I havent tried this many recipes in one week but I was just kind of in one of those moods to where I was tired of the same ole same ole. I need to make a plan to try 2-3 recipes a week.

Thanks for the Memories

This weekend we watched as Mr. King of Rodeo Chris Shivers rode his last bull. I cried like a baby it was bittersweet. He is from my home state and got on his first bull in my city. He is the greatest bull rider ever and no one will ever be able to replace him. He holds the record for the first rifer to win 1 million dollars in the finals and also for the most 90 point rides. I have watched and cheered him and it is going to be alot different and will never be the same.

 

At the beginning of this year he announced he was going to retire and I think the world devastated but understood.  He wanted to be able to be home with his wife and his 2 sons.

So now Chris Shivers is officially retired.

Thanks for the many many many memories and we will forever be greatful

I was in for a schock my Rhett man won a coloring contest and he got his award. Dont you just love those boots with shorts? He has so much style Im tellin ya

I had to work the PTO booth at the football game that night and you know what lil boys do at football games they play their own game on the side. They were all playing right beside my table so I could see every single move they made and low and behold all of a sudden I hear Rhett got is teeth out? WHAT I look and I see him running crying holding his mouth so I thini he just got hit in the mouth his tooth is fine...welll nope it was GONE and the one right beside is is so loose it is hanging. SO needless to say the tooth fairy came that night and Rhett lost his first tooth.

PVA Homecoming Dress week

This week is homecoming for the kids school and let the dress up begin. Everyday is a different them and Monday was Pajama Day. The kids loved it because they simple got out of bed brushed their teeth and away to school we went. I wanted the girls to add some ole tiny curls I got but no they wouldn't...I wish I could still dress them I miss those days

Spicy Lemon Garlic Shrimp

This is hands down easy breezy and delicious!

 My house devoured them. Best part was dipping French bread into the butter garlic juice WOW

Spicy Lemon Garlic Shrimp   by Pioneer Woman

• 2 pounds Raw Shrimp, Deveined, Shells On
• 2 sticks Cold Unsalted Butter Cut Into Pieces
• 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
• 4 cloves Garlic, Peeled
• 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley
• 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
• 1 whole Lemon, Juiced

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Rinse frozen shrimp to separate, then arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet.
In the bowl of a food processor, add cold butter, garlic, lemon juice, salt, parsley, and red pepper. Pulse until combined. Sprinkle cold butter crumbles over the shrimp.
Bake until shrimp is opaque and butter is hot and bubbly.
Serve with hot crusty bread. Peel and eat the shrimp, then dip the bread into the butter in the bottom of the pan.

These were mine and I assure you that there will be no leftovers.

When I am in love with a junk food this shows me a better healthier food substitute but I sometimes well always mostly don't listen

G-O Let's Go

The girls have been doing cheer clinic last week at their school. Its a cute little program where the high school cheer leaders teach the little kids cheers and chants and fun little dances. They have been practicing after school all week and on Friday they had to perform at the Pep-Rally.
This is a time where I really need my camera and to know how to work it

 Her practicing all week has paid off and I'm so thankful its over I'm kind of tired of hearing all the chants due to the nature they never leave my head I'm still chanting them

 

 Mauri is my shy child and I was worried about how she would due. Although she has the most rhythm in our whole family that girl has moves I only wish I had her rhythm.

She did so good and you couldnt even tell she was shy I think this might have broke her out of her shell now then its watch out Mauri Laken on the loose. She never missed a beat and yelled so loud.

It was so much fun watching them and then it all hit me that in not to many years this could be there thing wow they are really growing up and way to fast. Good job girls!!!!

It looks so funny seeing you again

When I got my iPhone last December I have just thrown away my camera and recently thought nothing of it until I needed to take some pics of the girls and needed to zoom in and was like this isn't working let me get my camera....wait where did I put it? After a hunt down I finally found it and realized it isn't working right and couldn't figure it out until it dawned upon me that the last time I used it was when we went to Vegas and then it all came back to me. At LAX {nasty dirty gross..not like I pictured it at all} I shoved my camera into our carry on bag and then the next thing I knew the Farmer gave it to the flight attendant due to not enough room so they put in cargo...Wait you did what my camera was in there and also my car keys....when we got to DFW the told us that our bag was on another flight and would arrive at our ending destination MLU...yes I looked at the Farmed in not a nice way. When we got to MLU it was there and I was thanking y good Lord and all of a sudden my bag falls off his little raggedy golf cart all I could think was my camera...so when I got home I inspected and yes it was my camera the lens was totally broke and it doesn't shoot very well due the lens. So now I need to get a new lens.

The lens that was messed up was m y 18-55mm I have a 75-300mm but I'm thinking I need to replace the 18-55mm lens but I have been seeing alot of people using 50mm. So this is where I need all of your help. I'm not good in the camera area and don't know how to work a camera in manual mode so if anyone is interested in giving me any good tips and advice I'm all ears. Also what lens you love and is a must?

I must confess

1. I haven't been a very good housewife this week. there is a ton of deep cleaning that needs to be done but I just cant get it together.

2. I have totally blown my dieting and I have no motivation to get back into it and I have a Mexico trip in a month so what the hell am I thinking. Maybe I'll start on that tomorrow

3. I don't like most kids well of course I like mine not I'm not good at other peoples. I'm shocked at how these crazy parents let their children walk all over them. Yes I am that mean mom that will knock their teeth down there throat if that talk to me in a disrespectful way. Now my kids are now saints they are my angels with horns as I call them but I do draw a line. Its getting worse and worse and I'm dreading my kids having kids over I don't want to have to go through this. So far the friends that they have had have been great but I see some oh Hellnaws in my future

4. I have an addiction with Nutella and cant go without it being constant on my mind

5. I am feeling overwhelmed and my OCD is kicked in full gear and if I don't so something about it I will be in a white padded room with a straight jacket rocking like a baby. note to self...get off your lazy ass and get to cleaning, redoing, and organizing

6. I have been in full slacker mode on the blog twitter and instagram but hopefully when I get my house together I will get pumped and hop back on.

7. All my kidos are in school and I thought I was going to be living it up and loving it but I'm not and actually I'm miserable, bored, lonely,and moody

8. I hope our lawnmower doesn't get fixed because Im in no mood to do it. I will not buy another I will hire it down its just not as fun as it used to be

9. I see many Peachy Verdi bottles in my near future

10. I turn into crazy Bish on ebay, what is the deal here lately I mean I cant win jack crap anymore. I am like a hunter waiting for its prey I will sit and press the damn button just in time but apparently an Ebay whore beats me to it so I had to sit down and figure out some strategies and booom I got that Bishes

I forgot I got a size bigger and was going to run it through my longer bangs when O-SHIT

Was getting dressed afterwards and went to put the shirt on to the outfit I planned when I found this

Uhhhhhhh its a sheer shirt and I was afraid to take it off myself due to me ripping it

Last but not least when I went to slap on my makeup Rhett had decided to write with my NARS lipstick and now it is all smushed and yuck. SO yes I had one of those days.
