H5 Christmas 2018

Been MIA for so long I don't know where to start...….
I've decided to make changes to our lives and no longer travel balling or making ourselves so consumed with sports and life we don't get to enjoy it. It has been the biggest blessing relieving the stress of being overloaded and way to damn busy. Ill do a post on all that later to play catch up.

This has been one of my favorite Christmases ever. WHY???

Since not being overwhelmed by being overloaded with kids practices and sports I had time to do other things. My SIL and I were at Sam's Club in October and I saw a few things I wanted to grab for Christmas gifts but I knew if I waited until Christmas it would be gone so I after my SIL talking me into it I picked them up and that was the best decision due to tremendous Christmas spirit and holiday prepping to follow. When I would see something I would pick it up and not wait and that gave me a huge advantage in not being rushed and was able to enjoy the Christmas Holiday so much I decided I would take the girls Friday morning black Friday shopping with my mom and cousin wife and we had so much fun I want to make that into a yearly thing. My SIL and I also had a Gansta Wrappa brunch which will be every year now.

Santa enjoyed being able to get the kids list this year and also find a few little extra surprises

Growing up

When your child is at school and you borrow her sunglasses and send her a snap chat to show her how cool you look in her glasses. I had these glasses 4 years ago until I got my Tom Fords and this reminds me why ray bans never go out of style. Thinking of getting a different color and we can swap up. Another reason I love having a daughter = sharing accessories

 

Capturing these memories of us hanging out catching up on all the junior high gossip. Trying to get as much time in before I officially become uncool and the teen attitude and no time for the parents come into play. I am soaking up whatever time I can get with my mini me. Yes I am sitting on my kitchen cabinets, I don't know why but its a habit of mine. I do it all the time when Nick is cooking. I know I could easily sit in a bar stool but I prefer the counters. 

 

Friday night Maci and her Squad as she calls them stayed the night and we had our first boy/girl Friday night bonfire. It was funny seeing how her Daddy gave her all the rules like she was on a date of had a boyfriend coming over. Nicks cousin and his wife live down the road from us and their son and Maci are 2 months apart. When they were first born we joked about this day and now that this has come it was surreal and not so funny. He had friends staying the night with him and Maci had the girls staying with her. Nick made a bonfire out of pallets he had laying around that needed to be burned anyway and he made a big pot of chili.

 

The kids played basketball, you cant keep these ballers away from sports.

Then they played hide in seek in the dark and just hung out and had a really good time.

It went really well and we all had a great time.





 

These are a really good group of kids and I am sure there will be more bonfires to come

 



 

Saturday morning a cow had a new baby so we ear tagged and weighed it.

Mauri had her Pee Wee basketball game at Riverfield last weekend.

She may be the smallest one on the court but she is ready to play and came to win.

Maci has been playing for years now so that's all Mauri knows she has been going to all of her practices and games for years now and she has had 3 years of intermural basketball before this.

She had to take a picture of her shoes and said: Tip Toeing in my Jordans

She wouldn't tell a sole where she go her shoes. Everyone was asking her and she replied its a secret I don't want anyone else to get them. We all know Mauri is just like her Momma and couldn't wear some ugly shoes so she hunted and found these.

We had to go into overtime and no one scored so they took 5 off the team and lined them up to shoot free throws to see who had the most and whoever had the most would be the winner. It came down to Mauri being the last person and so far no one has made a single free throw so it was all on Mauri's shoulders. Talk about nervous I was so nervous and I can only imagine what she was thinking.
