Maci's First Homecoming

This post makes me sad
When did my baby girl get old enough to go to Homecoming?
I still don't think she should be. I think it should be High School only not Junior High but that's just my opinion. This picture below is just crazy to me because the girls whose these dresses belong to go way back all the way before they were born and even before their Moms were even Moms. These two girls are 2 months apart and now old enough to go to Homecoming WOW where did the time go?

My sister n law did the girls hair and makeup so I had the privilege to watch this sweet boy.
He didn't seem to mind we wore him slap out. Poor Izzy was even guarding him

Daddy and his beautiful Daughter

These 2 girls have came along way since the colic and diaper days, toddler dance classes, gymnastics for the specials, kindergarten, rodeos, and now Homecoming.
I just wish I knew what these secrets looks meant.

The 7th grade glass minus a few.
This is a really good and fun group of kids

With them only being in Junior High we didn't want to have to haul them an hour away to go eat then an hour back to go to the dance so I called a friend who is Chef and asked him to cater. He came up with a menu and Carey opened up her home and the kids had the best time. He served Prime Rib, Pulled pork, Garlic mashed potatoes, homemade mac and cheese, asparagus, salad, rolls, brownies, and bread pudding with a praline sauce that was out of this world.

Going to the Dance in style
Nick took the kids and Carey and I drove by ourselves in my car

Maci & Mason
They always have to take a picture together. Whether at a baseball game, football, cheer, why would Homecoming be any different

After the dance the kids came back changed clothes while the Moms placed everything out for the scavenger hunt and bonfire. They had teams and this was Maci's team. They had clues and at every stop they picked up a letter and at the end they had to unscramble their letters and that's where their prizes were. The kids had a blast doing this and think this will be done next year.

PVA Homecoming 2014

Homecoming week is always so much fun.
Who doesn't love to dress up.

Color Wars Day:
Mauri's Class: RED
Maci's Class: BLACK
Rhett's Class: GREEN

Disney Character Day:
These girls planned their outfits accordingly.
Last year they did: Minnie, Mickey, Donald, & Daisey

Maci and Mauri were Alison and the Wonderland
Rhett was the old man from UP

Rock & Roll Day
Mauri was a version of Pink
Maci and her friends were the Pink Ladies
Rhett was just lets throw together what we can find, he wasn't a fan of Rock & Roll Day I think cowboy would be more fitting for him

Merica Monday

On Friday before the Homecoming PepRally they had a parade and each class decorated a float
We were playing the UCA Lions
Maci's class was Freeze the Lions
We did a frozen theme and had the kids put on winter clothes while playing Let it Go

Throwing candy
My two littles loved their sisters float so they hoped on with her class

Becka...Where do I begin?
When Maci first started she did cheer camp and Beck-Beck was her cheer teacher and ever since then she has been her person. This cheer camp was special because it was Becka last one being a Senior and Maci's  last no being that she will no longer be in elementary.
Thank you for your kindness, wild and crazy antics, and always being there for my children it truly means a lot.

I am thankful for the small little private school my kidos attend even though my biggest pet peeve is lack of organization up there. My children have became very close to a lot of the high school kids and have made a huge impact on them.
