Trot or Treat

The Woodlawn Riding Club had Trot or Treat playday Saturday and it was alot of fun!
Mauri had a birthday party so she went with my sweet In Laws
so Rhett and Maci went to the playday.

Keyhole Event: shaped like a keyhole in othe arena and you had to go down there and back without
getting out of the keyhole patter in white. She rode White Cloud for this one.

Panty Race: had to go around the barrel and get of your horse, grab a pair of panties out of the
bucket on top and put them on then get back on your horse and head home.
Bentley was way to tall for this so she rode White Cloud
Blue Panties looked like a Diaper on her, LOL this is funny!

Barrels

Potatoe Race: had to go to the box stick a potatoe and go home.
Some of the horse was so scared of the box

Rhett he was Woody

Maci was an 80's girl and Woody "Trot or Treating" the horse trailers.

Poles: you run down there and weave back and forth throughout the poles

Just HORSING around playing King of the Mountain. Mrs. Ky (lady in the hat is a trick rider and worked at Dollywood) so it ok. She is Maci's riding instructor....scary huh? LOL Naw she is really good and so glad we found her. The rest of the crew is her students.
This is a fun thing to do with kids. They will love it!

Childlike Faith

The bible teaches that we should all have childlike Faith, now I know why. Dr. C thought Bentley's riding career was over but like he say he is only a vet not God and this lil girls prayer was heard and answered. Bentley's leg looked great and somehow his knot was almost gone and his leg wasn't showing any favoritism towards it. We still are in a shock and disbelief but so glad and appreciative that his plan wasn't over for Bentley. After all we have gone though with this crazy horse he is now back in business. Now he isn't totally out of the clear we will know within 3-6months if it will be back 100 percent once we get him back going again full time. I'm sure you could tell I had a lot going on last week well this was just another thing in last weeks busiest week this whole year.
This weekend there was a Youth Rodeo and we thought this would be perfect for Maci to start back and see if he was ready. While she warmed him up I could feel my heart and was so nervous for her because the last rodeo she rode in was when Snooki bucked her off.

Maci and Bentley hanging out waiting to run the barrels

Last barrel and coming home, sorry but I think I was just to nervous and didnt realize that I needed to be tacking pictures until the last barrel.

Maci & Hannah (her BFF)

Love this picture...My 2 favorite men! Rhett wanted to do the MuttinBusting but as soon as the Farmer sat him on it he totally freaked. But he will ride one of our cows...now what kind of sense does that make?
MuttinBusting is when you take a sheep and you get on and hold on for dear life and they open the gate and you time starts. This was hilarious to watch.

Maci didnt chicken out she Cowgirled Up!

and there she goes.... go baby go hold on!

So proud...look at her Ribbon

They also had a Halloween contest. This was my absolute favorite....Cruella and 101 Dalmatians

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.    Jeremiah 29:11
This is my favorite bible verse and it just fit this story.

Work Hard ... Play Harder

We are a huge reward system fan around this house and if you put in the hard work and
honest effort you will be rewarded of some kind depending on the task. We are biggest reward you can earn is when it comes to grades. We try to go all out to let them know how proud of their hard work and dedication. So far it has worked and Maci has done an amazing job with her grades and we couldn't be prouder simply because we know how hard she has worked. Mauri got her first report card and she did terrific too. Right now we are 2 very proud parents.
Although here lately my lil punks have been wanting some really outrageous rewards.
Maci: Coach Purse & Cell Phone
Mauri: Flip Camera & Trip to Disney World
Rhett: Disney Vacay & the whole John Deere store Toys
No No and No! What they fail to realize that is back in the old days when Mommy & Daddy were kids we got maybe 5 bucks for report card and rewards if any some times it was no because that was what I was supposed to be doing.  Where did an Icee or SnoCone go? As guess as they get older their wants get bigger, but they dont seem to realize as the get bigger my wallet gets smaller. HaHa
Don't they realize Christmas is right around the corner?

I was on my one of my favorite sites Pinterest I came across this:

Random rewards of things they can do rather than "things" for rewards
Wow why haven't I ever thought of this?
What a great solution!
I can let them each choose things to do:
Family Game night..they pick game
Movie night they pick movie
Mommy do 1 of their chores for a day
and we can think of many more

What are some of your ideas?

Did Tebow pull it off or what? So proud!!! Now start him every time, we would much rather watch him :)

School Mood Funk

I wasn't ready for the summer to end, it went by way to fast and before I turned around it was time for school again. So needless to say I wasn't ready for school this year. This year has been extremely hard for me simply because I feel like I don't get to spend the time I need with my girls. Maci is in 3rd grade this year and with all of her homework... we start in the car on the way home and then she gets a snack, homework, eats, homework, shower homework then it is 8oclock and bedtime. As if that is not bad enough on the weekends she has to read a 120 page book sometimes 2 books.
I just love the simple laid back life and right now it isn't going that way at all. I miss my girls and miss them being able to relax and have fun instead of school school and more school. I think school should be strictly in forced on the weekdays but they need a break and on the weekends let them be. I'm just terrified because I know it only gets worse the older they get.On top of that they are taking so many new students that is has gotten overcrowded....why am I paying for a private school when I'm getting public education? (Nothing against public school..I'm all for public, I just like the teacher number ratio in private) Right now that is not the case because they cant seem to say no we are full!
As a mom I'm in tears and major stress mode...am I doing the right thing by send them to this school? I know the graduating class average ACT score is 24 and 98% gets full scholarship but are they going to get burnt out before they get there? Who said the older they get the easier?  I call BullSh!t!!!!!  I feel so bad because no I don't want to go to your birthday party and anything else that take time away from my family but then I don't want my kids to miss out. ( I really didn't mean the whole birthday party thing but you get my point)  Wouldn't home school be easier? Well I think it might be time to look around because I only see it growing and not being what it used to be.
I am going to admit that I need to work on my OCD...everyday my morning routine is make sure the house is clean, not spotless clean but picked up. Before we can do anything I have to have a picked up house or my mind doesnt work. I know that if I didnt worry about that on the weekends that there would be more time for my kids so Im going to try to work on that. My house will always be here my kids will not! What is the happy medium?

Surprise...well not so much :(

Let me start off by saying that around this house Jason Aldean is kinda a big deal and the Farmer has wanted to go to see him for a while but he is always busy in the field anytime he is close so as I was doing a little browsing I saw that him and Luke Bryan ( love him and his fun personality) were going to be in concert together Feb 24th in Nashville, TN.  Perfect... Nashville is somewhere we have always wanted to go and what a perfect Christmas present this would be. So as I tried to get tickets (they sold out in 2 minutes flat) there was none. What???? So I went to my trusty Stubhub and boy did I get lucky. I was so proud of myself!

Well the Farmer was looking for something on the computer and guess what came in the taskbar as he was typing something else...yes my history was there as he went to check it out Bam..he saw that tickets were already purchased so now he came to me and quizzed me about it...Uhhhh surprise...yeah not so much! I tried though thats all thats counts.

Im on a blogging roll this week. :)

Farmer's High Cotton

Last week I got Mrs Margie to come out and take some cotton pictures. I wanted to get the whole crew in but of course last minute break downs the farmer couldn't make it so we just had to go on with the show. She did an amazing job and I cant wait to see the rest of the pictures being the sneak peek was good. These lil punks have my heart and the farm and cotton is our life so it only made since to combine the 2.
God is good and I cant thank him enough for all his many Blessings!!!!

I cant wait to see the rest of them.

Fall Goals

Copacetic In Carolina is one of my favorite bogs I read and Ally is such an amazing person and sweetheart! She recently tagged me in her post 5 Fall Goals and I knew I had to do this!

As of yesterday around noon Harvest is Officialy over! Praise the Lord!

1. Incorporate some sort of exercise into my week. I'm not a fan of exercise wish I was but actually
it doesn't excite me one bit. I know that as I am getting older I need to find a way to adapt to it.
Last week I did venture and try running but this week I'm going to try a different approach and
give the From Couch to 5K a try. Wish me tons of luck :)

2. Slow down!!!! It seems like it is always go go go or on the go so I just need to slow it all down
and enjoy this wonderful life God has given to me. I feel overwhelmed most of the time and running around but feel the need to slow it down or shut it down and just enjoy every little second of it.

3. Find a wardrobe for Vegas! I'm on a mission and lately I haven't had any luck! It seems like everything I find is either black or grey and I have to tell myself that I hae enough black and grey and need color but I havent had luck in the color department! Although I did hit the Jackpot when I found True Religion jeans on sale for 78 bucks! I find that tops are hard for me because at 4'11 things just are longer than should be. I just need to find sweaters and tops in colors instead of black & grey.

4. I have to be all in with Ally on this one and have my Christmas shopping early. She is so brave and has set her goal for Halloween but I am going to give myself a little but more time and say the week before Thanksgiving. My kids are saying that they dont want anypresents from Santa execpt a Vacay! Rhett & Mauri are wanting to go back to Disney and Maci is saying SnowSkiing. So we are thinking wonderful idea and that may start next year. What great ideas these punks of ours have! Talk about fun and easy...yes please!

5. I am super duper OCD when it comes to hy house and things in it organized and it freaks me out when someones get it out of place so I am going to try to relax a bit on that one and try to use new techniques as far as organization so the punks and farmer can hopefully put things right back where they got them from when finished! My motto is the less we have the less is out of place so I go through everything like crazy and get rid of stuff like there is no tomorrow but it still seems like I am drowning in clutter so I need to find new ways to deal with my OCD and new things to chuck right on out.

Ok so now I must tag 5 blogs:

Just a little Happy to get my Monday started:

Molten Chocolate Cupcakes & Bonus Booze Cupcakes

I just love my new KitchenAide Mixer so much and as a appreciation to the Farmer
for buying it for me. I just cant seem to quit thanking him with his weakness...Sweets!
I have got to find another way to use it or else I will need a
Gym Membership for my next gift. HaHa

Known also as "lava cakes," molten cakes are the answer to the most
 decadent chocolate craving.
Here's an easy version using cake mix.
I also found a a coupon at Betty Crocker for the cake mix and icing needed for the recipe.
I went to one place and got left with a new recipe and a coupon for 2 of the ingredients,
cant beat that!

For the recipe card I created it on Printshop, I just take images from online and copy them
into my printshop and then design from there.

Since we are talking cupcakes I recently found these that I cant wait to try also.
Do you remember Trista Sutter former Bachelorette who is still Married to Ryan?
Well here is a Bonus treat for you...
