Phone Dump

We tried a new place in Sterlington and it was not good! Everything about it was terrible. Our waiter was out there and couldn't comprehend what we wanted and then brought out way to many hamburgers and then asked us why we didn't want them...Hello there are 5 of us why do we want 7 burgers. Then she tried to charge us for all of them and brought our appetizer out after our food and said I didn't put it in before you food, you wanted them before your food and I was like oh my chick where have you been? We food wasn't ever good either to make up for the service.

 

We were watching the food network and they were making tomatoes basil soup and it looked so amazing. I'm a tomatoes hater so I would never try this but I couldn't get this soup out of my mine so I called my sister in law who eats this all the time and I figured I would be asking her a stupid question but it turned out that this soup doesn't taste like tomatoes. While Nick and I were out I decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint. It taste like a pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce its so good and I realize I have been missing out all of my life. 

I think this child accidently/on purpose went through the mud.

I remember those days

Nick and Mauri have been hunting and she got her a 4 point the other night.

I feel like all we have been doing is traveling 2/3 hours for Maci's basketball games.

The perks of that is all the day dates I get to have with the hubby.



 

 Got my hair done last week and I cant believe how healthy it is. I knew bleach was horrible for you hair but didn't realize how healthy my hair would be without using bleach. The products she uses are Paul Mitchell and bleach free and it makes my hair so soft and I have gone to a more of a rooty look so instead of going to the salon every 4 weeks I can go every 8 weeks.

 

 

Rhett killed him another deer he got a 6 point so I have meat in the freezer



 

 

Another day date with the hubbs and another basketball game

This is my life right now along with Mauri's basketball games on the weekends



and I think I am now caught up. Lets see if I can keep it that way

geting better

I am trying to get back into blogging and taking pictures. After all I love looking back and I cant look back if I don't take pictures and blog.

I had begin slipping away from God and my quite time because I thought I was to busy and I would get to it later well that later never came and it would be the next week and I would say the same thing until my brain and body was just over being busy. I couldn't take another day without being at home with no where to go. I realized that the reason I felt so out of control and loosing it was my I was far away from my rock. I vowed that I would not let the business of the world control me instead I would control it with God on my side and the help of a few prayer warriors. I loaded an extra bible and a devotional in my car that way I would not have any excuses.

 

When I start my day off in his word my day goes better and I feel more at peace

Maci was having headaches and I kept asking her why she was getting them so frequently and she would just say I don't know. Until I questioned all of her activity, food, how long she was on her phone or tv and she finally came clean and said I cant see but I haven't told you because I don't want to have to wear glasses. I just threw my hands up... I knew it I knew something wasn't right.

I made her an eye appointment asap

Can you see how excited she is? I tried to explain to her that they made contacts so she might not have to wear glasses. That didn't do the trick, she was just not into it. Come to find out her softball coach told her to get her eyes checked but she didn't tell me because her fear of wearing glasses.

This poor child of mine is blind...

They told her good thing she isn't getting her license because she wouldn't be able to because of her vision. Now being a year shy of getting her permit that spoke volumes and then she began to get it.

One eye was 20/50 and the other was 20/60 and her left eye has a stigmatism. 

 

The doctor showed her how to put contacts in and take them out and how to care for them. I had to pay attention because Nick and I don't wear glasses or contacts so this is new for us.

 

We ordered her a pair of glasses just incase she needs to let her eyes rest from contacts or don't feel like putting her contacts in she can just throw on her glasses. We ordered these frames and they will put her lenses in them we should get them back next week.

 



 

After the eye doctor I took my big out to lunch

 at our favorite Mexican place before I took her back to school.

 

She had a basketball game that afternoon. It was a really good game I love close games.

Maci's 3 pointers were so much better they were hitting the basket. Amazing what a trip to the eye doctor can do for you when you can finally see.

Mauri & Rhett Basketball

The school has a Intermural Basketball league for K-3rd grade.  The K and 1st graders play on a team and then the other teams are 2nd- and 3rd. They play against they grade group. Mauri and Rhett have been playing basketball and they love it. They will play 4 Saturdays. This was their first games.

Rhett's game was first and he played an awesome game and scored 4 points and his team won the game. The game was so close and kept going back and fourth. It was so much fun watching these Kindergarten and first graders play. Rhett can dribble and make the ball go where he wants it to go. He has been watching Maci play and all of the PVA basketball players and now he thinks he is one of them. He has been trying to show boat the ball and I cant help but laugh.

 Mauri played last year and she loved it. Being that this and softball is all she knows due to Maci she knows what to do and gets into it. She is one of the smallest but she puts up a big fight. She is just as rough and tough as the boys. She can dribble and also very good at stealing the ball. Mauri's team also won and likewise it was a good and close game. I cant wait to watch the next games.

 

Championship

This Saturday was the basketball Championship. Its single elimination tournament and of course we were wanting to bring in the trophy. Our coaches are the same the as last year and I cant ask for better Coaches. The love these girls and push them to try hard. As sarcastic as I am I can give them heck and pop off in my sarcastic ways all while joking and they can give it right back. I hope the continue and will Coach Mauri and Rhett.

We played Riverfield in our first game and we pulled out the win. Thank goodness

Our girls seem to start out awesome and really good but as the season goes they seem to regress instead of progress I don't know why but that was how it was last year also.

 Maci was having sinus issues I know but she just was lacking and sluggish.



 

I knew the UCA was going to be the team to beat and that who we had to play in the semifinals to get to the final game. They have some huge girls. Our girls wasn't making shots and were just in a daze it was like they were slow go and wouldn't listen to the coaches. But all in all they did good this season and I am so proud of all of these girls and the Coaches.

Weekend Where Abouts

Maci had a Basketball Championship so we started off the weekend with that. Although they didn't win they did come in 2nd place overall for our district. The game was so close the whole time and they even went into overtime. I am so proud of her and these girls for all of their hard work.

KiKiLaRue has my outfit in check I'm wearing the Teal Piko top with the Mustard Lenore scarf.

I am also sporting some Summer Pastels nail polish from one of my Birch Boxs.

I just love this color because it reminds me so much of my favorite color Tiffany&CO.  Blue

My friend Stephanie opened up a Bakery and since we were in the area we stopped by Simply Sweet

I have been craving King Cake and this was ok but I like mine with some filling in the inside and this was just plain so I think if it has filling I would give it a 10 out of 10 

 

Now these Red Velvet and Chocolate cupcakes we a 10plus these are amazing! I haven't had these kind of good cupcakes since Curlz Cupcakes closed. I ate way to many over the weekend I not ashamed ate 4 of these and I know I'm going to gain 8 pounds because of this but it was worth every second! These are amazing and I cant wait to try out her cakes.

 

With all of us being on a sugar high we decided to play a game of B-ball. With the kids we have to set some rules because I knew like always someone would end up having a melt down so I set the rules and we all ended up having a great time. It is so fun to see the kidos especially the little kids move this big ball around. Rhett is really good at dribbling and he is such a ball hog, while Mauri is very good at defense and stays right there with him and doesn't give him any room for error.

I know the horse trailer in the yard and not at the barn but we took Bentley to his new rider Big Macie and she will be riding him this whole year. After our Maci  accident  she is no longer interested in barrel racing so we are lending her horse to a high school girl who taught Maci so much and who loves Bentley and we cant wait to see what their year has in store. We still own him and no we will never sell him. We can still see him any time we want and we cant wait to go watch them.

Sunday we got up at made it to church even though the rain was in full force. Our drive way was under water so we got a flood. I am wanting it to dry up but every time it looks like it is almost dry it comes a pour. My yard is one hot mess and I can not even get anything done due to the fact it is so wet. Our yard is so low that even the slightest rain it floods our yard.

 

 After church we decided to hit up El Chico

This is my cheese dip Queen she eats it with everything and we buy tons for her she uses it as ketchup. She can go through 2 cans a week. You name it she dips it in Cheese Dip

so this is all I got. I'm not a fan of growing up and that is exactly what she is doing

The Farmer and I enjoying every minute of this family weekend.

I can hear the Farm 2013 calling his name not many more weekends with him so we are taking full advantage with him being with us on the weekends.
