Awards Day & Graduation

This school year has been a long one for our house and we are so thankful it is over. For some reason it just seem drawn out not like other years. Maci had awards day and Mauri had Kindergarten graduation all in one morning. It was a little hectic that am to say the least. I am so proud of them for all their hard word this year.

After everything was over we went to celebrate and decided on lunch at Newks and then grab some Orange Leaf.

Day on the Farm

A day in the life on the Farm is all about getting a little dirty. When doing rice water you have to break a levy and let the water flow unto the next rice patty. So get to shoveling sister

    Once the levy is broke the water flows over to the next section. My favorite part is playing in it

The water that is coming into the rice field is being pumped out of a flown ditch and you never know what you are going to find sming in your rice patty. Mauri found her a nice fish swimming right  by her feet. She grabbed it up and was so brave while Rhett is hiding right behind me hollering OMG, OMG, the farmer didnt like that one bit. LOL

Watch out for you little piggies because you might feel a little pinch.

We also stopped by the lake and caught a few sharks as Rhett would say. He caught the most catfish as soon as his pole would hit the water he would get a bite I dont know how he did it.

I have been thinking about Rhett birthday and I know it is a long way off but any whooo. I want to do a cute little fishing party on our pond but didn't know how it would work and if the kids would be careful and not hook themselves or someone. The weather has warmed up and is almost hot so we knew a Fish and Dock Birthday Party would be perfect. Plus I would get to see first hand if I wanted to do this for Rhetts party or not. The kids had a blast and it was so much fun to watch their faces when they got a nibble. These little sun perch were biting and every time they would throw their line in and bite and nibble was to be had. There was even a bait stealer, that fish would go around and take every ones bait and when you would think Oh I caught this sucker.....wrong. We all had a great time and thanks everyone for helping Rhett and his scared little self. It was so funny because this all boy turned into a scared little sissy girl once he got a nibble. He didn't want to touch it, bait it or lift it out of the water. The girls just dove right on in and did everything their self.

Isn't this to funny Chicken Little caught the biggest fish of the day. To get this picture I had to threaten and promise alot of great and wonderful things. What? like you never had to bribe you child.

                                  We all had so much fun and cant wait to do it again.
                           Next time I think we may try to go to the Farmers Reservoir.

MAC Brushes Review

I recently got into MAC and I have to say that my favorite so far has been their brushes. I'm not a Makeup guru and didn't have alot of products I liked to keep it simple and have just a few but with MAC I cant get enough totally opposite of what I'm used to.
At first I thought there was no way in tarnations that I wasn't going to pay that much for brushes. I could find them cheaper elsewhere but once I tried them I knew I had to splurge. I believe that these brushes do all my work for me and make it so easy to apply and change up looks. They are so soft and I cant say enough great things about them.
These are the ones I currently have:

In the past, I would (like most girls out there) use a normal, fluff brush to apply my eye shadow and would always end up with product fallout on my face (not cool and messy). But, since I started using the M.A.C 239 brush to apply my eye shadow, not only does it go on really well, but it lasts much longer too.
I also noticed that you get far more intense colour when applying your eye shadow with this brush, as apposed to using a fluffy eye brush or those horrid applicators that you get with most eye shadows – why they even use those I will never know!

Both the 239 and the 217 brushes work together beautifully to create perfectly blended eye lids. Use the 239 brush to apply your darker shade of eye shadow to the lid, and then use the M.A.C 217 Blending Brush to blend the colour, giving it a nice, flawless finish.

If you generally only apply one shade of eye shadow to your lids lids, then the M.A.C 217 Blending Brush is all you need. The brush has fine, densely packed fibers that are arranged in an oval shape.

MAC 224   I use this brush for an all over sweep of shadow or to dust a highlight under the brow and especially for blending my eyeshadow. I think this is the best blending brush I have came across. It is so soft and make my blending effortlessly. I cant live without my MAC eye brushes.

MAC 187   This brush I'm using for my blush brush and it is so soft and glides across my cheeks. You can use it by swirling it up my cheek bones and doesn't streak of leave darker spots it smooths and applies evenly. This brush is a bigger brush that what I'm used to and thought I would look like a clown but to my surprise it is just right. It is a more expensive brush but well worth the investment especially that I know it is high quality made and will last a long time.

MAC 109   I use this brush for my minerals powder. I normally use a powder sponge so this is new for me but I will say that I use less powder with a brush than a sponge. So I feel like the money I'm saving on the powder I bought a brush with it. It is a great blending brush also use it for a contouring brush.

I will say that before this brush I wore foundation and powder because I felt powder alone wasnt enough coverage but usuing this brush I no longer wear foundation. So I splurged with this brush but saving on money for foundation.

With these eye brushes I truly believe that you could make all of the looks happen with ease

I also heard that the e.l.f. brushes are exactly like the MAC brushes so I while I was at my beloved Target I picked up a few and I will admit that I think elf brushes are great and def up to  par with MAC and Sephora brushes. The Bonus elf brushes is the cheap price. I  love a good deal or bargain.

The Graduate

I cant believe that my baby brother graduated High School. Wow where did the time go? I am so proud of him and look forward to his next chapter in life. He will be attending LA Tech in the Fall and majoring in Engineering. He is such a good kid and I hope my children will be exactly like him. He is so smart and has a heart of gold. Very witty, cute, and always always responsible. Myself and middle brother were def not this way at all. We  gave my parents a run for their money for sure. We weren't wild childs but rambunctious I should say.

Its a party going on

I'm so excited and I just cant hide it! Yes I most certainly am! Maci's class celebrated their end of the year party with a water slide, fishing, baseball, and other games. The kids had so much fun just hanging out with their classmates and not having to worry about school and homework. Rhett tagged along to join in on the fun while Mauri was at school practicing for her graduation.

 These silly girls are a mess but are sweet and fun.

You never know what you are going to get with this crew.

Hello my name is Kelli & Im an Addict

Can you tell that when it comes to headbands I just get get enough. They are just so easy to throw on when I want to be lazy and not fix my hair or want to dress up something plain. They are a lot of fun and very playful. I cant ever pass up a booth or store with headbands. I'm like a kid in a candy store. What is so crazy about this is that until recently I didn't wear headbands because I thought I would look all kinds of crazy in them. Then one day I decided hell I'm all kinds of crazy so why not look the part right. I'm all Gypsy style right now and I love funky and different. I have always loved different simply because I don't want to be or look like you or you I want to look like ME! Don't get me wrong I do love pieces from all of you but I don't want  to be someones twin. I'm sure most of you feel the same way. I love bright and colorful pieces almost with a graffiti or tattoo feel.
Quincy Freeman has a collection out with Ariat and I am totally digging. I feel it is so me.
I'm pretty sure she jacked my NARS Funny Face lipstick so why cant I jack her boots.

National Anthem

At the Rodeo this weekend Maci got asked if they could use her horse Bentley to carry the flag and do the National Anthem. She quickly said it would be ok and he did so good considering he had never carried a flag before. He shined!

Maci had the poles first and did an amazing job. She has been really well coming back from her time off. She has been improving every time she runs and we are so proud of her.

Coming out the alley for the barrels is when my stomach gets into knots I get so nervous every time and don't know why...well actually I think I do...Speed.

Mauri filled us in at the Rodeo that she wanted to sell her pony and get her a big horse so she can Rodeo like Maci. Wow I thought we would wait until she got a little bit older but she has spoken.
