H5 heads to dey Bayou

As soon as basketball ends softball starts. We had one free weekend left in between them so we loaded the kids up and headed South on down to Baton Rouge to watch LSU girls play a double header. When we woke the kids up they are so grouchy and irritable and I thought lets just stay at home I am not dealing with them all day like this but as we got on the road they turned around their moods and it was a great day to say the least.
I  know what you are thinking: How does a Bam lovin girl enjoy anything involving LSU?
Here is my answer: I was a LSU fan Saban was there and when he left I went with him but still cheering on the Tigers also and then the more I watched them the more Les Miles worked all up on my nerves child and I just couldn't take it. My heart lies with Saban. He reminds me so much of my Boo and I just roll with Saban so I am basically a no teams fan I am a Saban fan.
So there ya have it I don't dislike or hate LSU its Les that I despise.

For lunch we decided to grab something close around the campus.
It was delicious and if you are ever around I would def suggest you stopping in.
I got the Shrimp PoBoy, kids got thin fried catfish, and Nick got a chicken and bacon sandwich and for out appetizer of course we got the cheese fries.

On the beverage napkins this is what we found.
Go for those goals babygirl

We stopped by the LSU boys practice game at the Alex Box stadium

The kids climber all over Mike

We had really good seats and the weather was warm it was a perfect day for some softball

The hubs is always thrilled when taking pictures can you tell?

Crazy story I came across this girl on vine and followed her for a while not realizing that she played for LSU softball until last year when I started following her IG. I can honestly say my girl B turned me onto LSU softball. Right after that LSU came to the college in the nearest town and we went and watcher her play while Maci watched her favorite Baylee Corbello

Every time LSU would strike a player out they throw 3 t-shirts out to the crowd.

LSU won the first game and now its on to the next

The girl loving them some LSU softball.
Love seeing these sister share and create memories together.
Talking softball talk and cheering the tigers on hollering for the player and doing the Tiger cheer

Mauri Laken won the dance contest and won a prize pack.
I know her Daddy didn't know what to do be happy or worry for her future. LOL
She has always been a Longhorn fan until yesterday I think this trip may have converted her so we shall see. I mean her favorite color has always been purple.

AJ: I call her lightening because she is faster than lightening

We got to see Bianka hit it over: HOMERUN hitter and ya never going to get her so give up

Won the second game as well

The girls got their softball signed and Rhett did a poster

 Maci & Baylee Corbello
Maci was so excited to talk to her and take a picture.
She thought Maci was a pitcher but her build she just smiled and said no it was sweet

Mauri telling B you play my spot, I'm short stop too

Excited girls I think they had a blast

Every time we come through Natchez we have wanted to eat at Roux 61 but it was either closed or the wait time was out of this world long. We came through around 9:45pm and finally got to stop in.
It didn't disappoint either. I see why the wait is always long. Ah-maze-ing!

We got the cheese sticks and they were huge.
I got the Roux61 pasta and it was one of the best things I've ever put into my mouth.
The shrimp were enormous and the sauce was out of this world.

My Rhett man was glad we finally got to enjoy this place

We are already planning another trip back

Easter 2014 part 1

The Saturday before Easter my Momma Lou and Daddy Bob always has a big Easter lunch and Egg hunt. That's my dad parents and he has 5 siblings. They each have 2-3 kids and now some of us has kids so its a big family gathering and I love it. The Nicholson family Easter contains lots and lots of the best food, tons of cousins, lots of story telling followed by even more laughter. Its starts with my papaw, Daddy Bob saying the prayer (its not a hurry up and same ole same ole prayer its a preachin prayer). The rules are the kids fix their plates and eat first then its help your self. Sometimes there is a pushing and shoving fight over line breaking. Its all in good fun though.

Its finally dry after all this rain we have gotten so Nick needed to stay and work in the field to get caught up planting. Its our lively hood and that's one of those things farmers have no choice but to do. Its all a gable so you have get to get it while you can. I've been slacking on family pictures so I made my non photographer Mom try and take a pic of the kids and I. My niece Piper wanted in and this Aunt never say No to her. She calls me Honey and I love that little girl and her brother like crazy. Beau was sick so my Sister n Law was at home with him. Hopes he get to feeling better.

With all the cold temps, cloudy rainy days none of us was used to this sunshine.
All the great grandkids ready to find them some eggs.

Rhett was on the hunt and he filled his basket full

My cousin Josh being the road bouncer. He had to keep the kids off the road

Piper took her time and opened each egg to see what kind of candy was in it

Rhett trying to look for the prize Egg

Trying to remember where they put the prize egg...hmmmm

The brawl is on, kids are running wild and free trying to get as many eggs as they can

Piper filled her bucket it

Mauri Laken filled hers as well

Momma Lou and Daddy Bob with the Great Grandkids minus 1

 Katy and I
Her mom and my dad are brother and sister.
She has 2 brothers I have 2 brothers we don't have a sister and have always been close as sisters.

Now we ready for the Easter Bunny

Take me out to the BallGame

Opening weekend for the Texas Rangers
We have been wanting to go to a Texas Rangers game for a while now and we have loved watching Josh Hamilton play for them and while the news of him leaving last year saddened our hearts we totally understood. No matter what people want to say they love and miss him too that’s why the loudest it ever got was when Hamilton would bat or come out. I stand behind him and what he said and agree 100 percent Texas isn’t a baseball town it’s a football town when the football stadiums are selling out and only 10,000 seats are filled at the baseball games what does that say Hello Peeps! He is and will be one of my faves and cant wait til his movie comes out about his struggles. Also another one of my favorite players is Albert Pujols I have loved him since he played for the Cardinals. So when we saw the schedule and saw they were playing at Ranger stadium and were playing the Angels who has Pujols and Hamilton we knew it was going to be a badass ballgame. But with the Farming started we knew we wouldn’t be able to make it but little did we knew it rained and rained and so guess what at 9pm on Thursday we got out tickets and booked our trip. Nothing like last minute road trips.

My favorite picture of the day. Def a framer

The girls loved these tables and thought we needed these lol
Would be great for a game room

When I think of baseball food I think of hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, and sunflower seeds so that's exactly what we went for. There were so many options I mean I could of totally done a food crawl if not gained 30lbs in the last year. We came upon Boomstick Hot Dog. It is as long a baseball bat and will feed a family. The kids thought it was the neatest thing since it is in honor of Nelson Cruz and we all know by their shirts they are Cruz fans. The bread is a sourdough bread and not a hot dog bun so it wasn't my favorite but it was good.

Josh "Hottie" Hamilton signing autographs right in front of us.
For all those Hamilton haters they sure loved getting his autographs.
He seriously loves his fans they kept trying to make him go in because the autograph time was up but he refused and signed autographs right to the game starting.
As you can see in this pic how happy they were that he wasn't listening

Pujols up to bat and I knew it was going out because that's what he does best.
As he got up to bat these 2 young douche bags yelled "Pujols, your overrated!
I replied with Obvi you don't know your baseball just watch and see.
{No Im not saying I know everything about baseball I'm just saying since Pujols is my boy I know how he do}
Boy you should of seen their look and at that moment while they are giving me your a girl Bitch shut up look he knocked it out. I simply smiled and said haters gonna hate!
Then they knew they couldn't touch him while he is on fire so they walked him every other time then at the end tried him with another pitcher this time the young guns didn't say a word and there it went again out tha park homie. They don't pay him 240 million for nothing

Cant believe I finally got to see Pujols play :}

Hamilton and Mooreland talking and catching up.
I'm sure laughing about how loud the crowd is when is out.

Murphy, another one of my boys.
And who doesn't love some baseball pants.
I even told the Farmer I was getting him some for role play. SayWha

He was seriously slinging that sucker

Nelson Cruz.... he knocked that ball out tha park for real.
It was awesome

Every time the Rangers hit it out the park the fireworks off
The kids loved it

It was so much fun, now we are like when are we going back. So different from watching at home.
