When I got her calmed down a little bit I could understand that she also said it was a 10 point.
Then I said ok Maci don't play what was it really? She said I promise and I could tell it was for real.
This is the picture I got next
I am so proud of her and she was so excited. She has been hunting for 3 years now and wouldn't shoot until it was the one, I guess she just knew there was a monster her future.
Now the fun part...
we usually take it to the processor so we wouldn't have to full with it but the Farmer thought it would be special for him to show her how it was done. She kept saying I'm going to mount it and put it in my room not the loving room or Daddy's office. LOL it was so cute
She was up close and personal for this .
She even drove the tractor to the barn and lifted the deer up perfect for Daddy.
Maci bring it to the barn in the light to get the process started
Getting broke in
We are so very proud of her and she is so excited she still hasnt quit smiling.

Woo Woo! Ohh, love the animal print wrapping paper by the way!!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!!! Great to see another blogger who does support hunting... (in Australia it can be a bit of a touchy subject!)

Way to go! I love this post :)
ReplyDeleteWay to go Maci! I think we've found the new Buck Commander! I'm glad that he's teaching her how to skin it-my dad did the same for me, and I actually had to help my husband gut and skin his deer last year. And I'm glad we're not the only ones who hang it from the tractor to skin it :) But you guys are a little classier and put a bucket down to catch the blood...we just let it drain on the floor everywhere. Gross, but oh well. And I LOVE that she has the blood on her face-such a badass!
ReplyDeleteI need you to come wrap presents at my house! And congrats to Maci on the BIG buck! My husband would give her two thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteThis post rocks my world! Love it. Way to go Maci!!!
