For over 10 years going to the beach we have never been disappointed besides the one time we decided to give gulf shores a try and NOPE it wasn't for us. We are Destin snobs there is no water like Caribbean and Destin water sorry but true. This time in Destin it had rained all summer and was just plain yuck, I don't do green water I mean if I did I would just go to Biloxi or something and not take the time to drive as far but for us we drive the extra mile. Look at our days :{ I was the biggest cry baby while there because the water was horrible it was high tide and I wanted to just pack up and go home I begged the Farmer and one morning literally cried to go home. We have gotten so spoiled to this beautiful place and it was awful. Another tradition we do includes renting a pontoon boat and heading out to Crab Island. The kids love finding all the hermit crabs and the shallow calm crystal clear water. Its like a party in the middle of the ocean. So much fun

Since I knew I wasn't getting my tan on in the rainy cloudy weather I just had my own pity party and drank it away. All while watching the kids play and eat up the food bag Some kids bring sand toys to the beach my farm boy brought his tractors
Maci LeighAnn getting in some awesome shots in the few sunshine hours we enjoyed
We enjoyed a family game of football. I couldn't get them to quit it lasted until 8pm when it got to dark to see anything. They were having a blast and it was fun to hang with just my fab H5
Mauri getting her pics in
Playing football on our last day and it was the prettiest day of course. We didn't leave the beach until after 8pm and it was dark so we had to leave. So we just threw some clothes on and went around the corner and grabbed some OutBack
Rhett and I on the boat headed to Crab Island
Look how awful Crab Island was
It made me cry
You would think these kidos would be tired and pass out but not these kidos
We are huge Mexican eaters and we couldn't go a week without it so we headed on down to a local Mexican place that we have heard great things about. We walked in and were a little unsure but sat down ordered a drink and fell in love the food and drinks were great.
In the parking garage taking a quick pic before dinner
I lost my wedding band in the ocean
Getting tackled while playing football was the cause of my wedding band being lost and I was sick over it. I mean if the weather wasn't bad enough
We picked up this alligator at Alvins Island and we rode this thing like crazy.

I had a friend tell me to try this place and I wouldn't regret it I would thank her and yes I am so very thankful for her. This place was so awesome we couldn't pass it without stopping.
There would always be a long line but it moves fast so it not a long wait.
We carried a variety of these sweet treats home and enjoyed them with family. I may or may not of eaten a few on the way home. Their red velvet doughnut was my favorite.
The trip was a bust until the last day and then it reminded me of why we come here every year so all in all it was a Vacation and I am very thankful for the time away and quality time with the H5

The trip sounds like a blast. Sorry about your ring.
