getting Wedding ready

Thursday was time to get out of wedding planning mode and get into wedding ready mode. All the planning and counting down was coming to an end. Headed to get this show on the road.

The girls love their girl time and poor Maci with her crutches that everyone would knock over. HaHa

Maci told the lady that she was getting solar nail tips....umm hold up no I dont think so sister! So I explained to her that she could get her nails painted like a french manicure but not the actually nails on so she was fine with that. Mauri went with all purple. I cant find her pic poor baby. For their toes they went with a purple zebra.

After getting our mani and pedis we headed on over to one of my faves Newks for lunch. I always get the same thing grilled chicken sandwich and cesar salad. So i cant tell you how anything else tastes.

After getting our bellys full we headed on over to the country club to help get it together and start setting up and decorating. The girls were such big helpers. I cant wait for the wedding pics to come in so I can show you how beautiful it was decorated. I didnt get any reception decor photos.

Big & Little

Maci and Bentley and Mauri and Shorty....They are ready are so funny standing together. Short is such a good pony he is older and so kind and sweet. Mauri just loves him and sings to him while grooming him.

She takes him around the barrels and poles and is now learning quads, keyhole, and flags.

She loves riding him and we have to make her get off.

She has been so sweet about letting Rhett ride and even leads him around. She thinks she is so big when she does this.

Close Call

I really did have good intention of getting back into blogger mode but.....then we had a very close call with Maci but thankfully God was with her again. Maci was in the middle of the 4H state how and we had a rodeo and it had rained so was a mud pit and I was freaked out I had a crazy gut feeling that she didnt need to ride but with her Daddy and her telling me she would take it slow I said ok. Turned out everything went great and Maci took 3rd. The next day she was riding Mauri's pony and was running him and she was going straight and the pony turned left she fell off and the pony stopped...I freaked and ran to them then all of a sudden the horse took off running and Maci foot was stuck in the Barrel stirrups I just put on {they are now off and took back} {breakaway stirrups don't work} SO Nick and I are running around the arena tying to get her unhung and all of a sudden she slams into the metal panels. I thought she was dead I thought it was her head then I heard this angelic noise...hurt cry. So another ambulance ride when we got to the hospital her blood pressure had dropped and she had blood in her urine. I was a basket case when they took her for xrays I had to let Nick go so I could loose it and pray. Turned out she had a bruised kidney and liver and had fluid in her lungs all from trama from the impact. Then they thought her pelvic was fractured but CT scan showed it was just hairline so it wouldn't be 3 months on crutches but 2-3 weeks. After a few days in the hospital and many liver enzyme tests we finally got a good report and got to go home. After hat how does people not believe in my Holy father? 
After physical therapy she is now off her crutches and met her goal she didn't want to be on crutches for the wedding. She is lunging Bentley everyday so he will be ready when she is ready. I don't know if I can take anymore horse.
FYI: we learned you never run at horse that is why he took off if I were to walked to him he would of continued to stand there but when it is your child I just couldn't help it. God is so good and in the time off need he never left my side so why in his tome of need I sometimes leave him hanging. I got a reality check for sure that day.

Refreshing Break

As you know I have MIA and I needed time to take a step back and just find myself. I know that sounds crazy but I have lost myself in being a wife, mom, maid, banker, nurse, taxi driver, chef, personal shopper, etc. I just felt so overwhelmed and wanted to just stay home crawl in the bed and become a hermit.

Taking time out and stepping back from everything has been so refreshing. While I finally had time to think during this period it hit me that September I was going to officially hit the OLD club I will be the dirty 30. Yes I think 30 is old because to me it is. When people say you are only as old as you feel I want there nose to grow...you know you don't feel 20 when you're 30 so I'm calling BS. Please when I was 20 I could stay up all nite, eat as much junk as I wanted and not gain a pound, run on 3 hours of sleep and now I hit the 7oclock movie because I will fall asleep in the late one.
I signed up for weight watchers 3 months ago and didn't enter a single thing and did it so as I am going into my 30s I didn't want to go into it with a bad attitude and negative Nancy mind set. So I told myself I am going to go crazy and do stuff I don't do to make my life less stress, healthier, and most importantly happy. I am so happy fulfilled with being a wife and mom but when it comes to ME I am just so over it.
 I decided to do something about it......
1. slow my kids schedules down
2. take time to myself and not feel guilty {that part was easy to do}
3. find a stress relief
4. loose this 15 pounds that I have gained
5. will power to stick with it
I always come to this once a year but I have got to stick with it or else you will me my blog from the 7th floor of the crazy house.


                         Now I feel like I'm working more towards looking like this......

Lesson Learned

My dad works in Shreveport so he got a camp on Cross Lake to stay during the week and he comes home on the weekends. Or if he has to work on weekends my Mom goes there. It is beautiful and peaceful there. Just look at how relaxing this looks

            The kids favorite part is to feed the ducks and see how close they can get them to come.

          We decided since it had been so HOT it would be nice to take the kids to the water park there.
                                               Maci jumped right on in and enjoyed it.

                    Mauri loved it also and stayed on the slides she went from one to the other.

Rhett wanted to go down the big slide with Mauri and Maci and I knew what a whip he so I knew he wouldnt go down it when we got up there so I explained to him that if we went all the way to the top Im not bringing him down because this fat out of shape Momma isnt walking down once I get up the 10 flights of stairs. He said he would so here we go...Once at the top and his turn he is screaming of course and the life guard was saying to take him down...uhh excuse me cant you see Im huffing and puffing Im not going down MR Lifeguard. I ploped him on the slide and pushed him down...that little rascal grabbed the side and was hangin kicking and screaming so I had to pry his fingers off and send him down all while these crazy people are giving me the worst Mom ever look. Well if they were the best Mom why didnt they offer to take him back down....thats what I thought so you can take that look and shove it. Needless to say once he got to the bottom on the slide he wasnt screaming he was actually smiling but he wouldnt go again and you best believe that was a lesson well learned.

So for now he stuck to the kiddie slides like this one
