Vegas with the Kids

This year we decided to take the kids to Vegas for the NFR. We go every year but never take the kids so since we enjoy it so much we thought the kids would love it. We flew out of Shreveport due to it was a direct flight straight to Vegas to layovers.  The kids flew to Disney and did wonderful on the plane so I knew the flight would be fine.
The first day we woke up and went to our usual and favorite breakfast place Mr Luckys 24/7 at the The Hard Rock

How awesome is this waffle stuffed with bacon, eggs, ham and cheese with a side of hash browns.
If you eat like a queen for breakfast you can go forever and not have to stop again for food. That means all day shopping for me.

Here we go starting the day now off to Cowboy Christmas

Starbucks is a must

Rhett at the Mandalay Bay doing a little roping

Headed to the MGM

Mauri loved being in Paris as she calls it lol

She loved eating ice cream in Paris too

In the Limo on the way to the Rodeo

After rodeo pic

We love the cowgirl chicks and we got to meet them again.
They are so sweet and Rhett just happened to be wearing his pink shirt and worked out so well.
Sadie is a 2x breast cancer survivor.

Of course I had to go shop at one of my top boutiques Southern Jewlz
I am all about teaching them while they are you about Cowboy chivalry. I want him to grow into a perfect gentleman and an even better husband so I teach him manners. Rhett my little bag holder.

If you have ever seen the movie 8 seconds then you would know Lane Frost.
This is his parents Mr Clyde & Mrs Elsie Frost
They are the sweetest people

Tuf Cooper who needs no introduction.
This was not his NFR but I know he will be bringing it all year long and ready for next year.
That's how dedicated and hard working he is

Sweet Sisters headed to the Rodeo

We even found Santa

Shane Hanchey won the tie-down Gold Buckle and even though Tuf didn't win I couldn't be more proud of Shane he has worked hard and all 3 years we have been so has he. He is from Louisiana and couldn't be more proud of him representing our state.

It was a fun trip the kids were so tired and couldn't hang so I think we will wait a few more years before they go again.

Reality Check

I haven't been a very goof blogger this year. Even though I promised myself I was going to make an effort and thing would slow down but they didn't they only got crazier and more hectic.  The past year has flew by and I have been to busy cleaning my house, making sure everything was in order and on schedule, organizing, and going back over to see if I missed anything to realize YES I missed the whole 2013 year. I have been feeling overwhelmed and couldn't get out of my rut to realize life as I know it was passing me by. I called my mom and talked to her about how bad its gotten that my kids couldn't be kids and play in the house because it was clean and needed to stay that way in order for me to be happy. That isn't living and I knew it needed a wake up call. I have become a prisoner in my own home. We had a vacation coming up and I knew I needed a plane reader so I jumped on Amazon and was browsing the Mom, Wife, and family books and came across 52 Things Kids need from their Mom and it looked like it fit what I was needing so I downloaded it to my Kindle and couldn't wait for the next day so I could get started.

While reading this book I have been so heart heavy and realized while I wasn't having fun being a Mom my kids were not having fun having a Mom funless, stressed, and to busy. So I am making big changes in my life and going to enjoy it more. I am going to get my OCD in check and start really living.

A part that spoke to me:
Love those kids with al your heart, soul, and might. Love them through their mistakes. Love them in their changes. Love them when they are dorky. Love them when they are accomplished. Just open your heart and don't hold back....ever. Our children need one person on this Earth who will love them fiercely no matter what this life holds.

Another part was saying: Come to me messy, come when tired, and so on but when I saw messy and was like oh no don't come to me messy go clean yourself up. Just the word messy I immediately went their into my OCD space and quickly saw that I needed to keep reading this book because it was going to be life changing and it is, I know I am going to have to go to this book every day and remind myself but lucky for me I highlighted lots and made so many notes I thought there for a minute I was writing a book.
This book has been and eye opener and I wish I would have read it sooner but better late than never.

November Goals

Last week was I didn't workout as hard as I should and I didn't eat clean or even 50% clean and I can tell I never thought I would be able to tell how I felt by my eating but it is so true when I eat like shit I feel like shit. I couldn't work out hard or long because I was just not feeling it and it was all due to my eating. So this brings me to:
November Goals:

1. Eat as clean as I can even on Thanksgiving. I am limiting my cheat meal to Sunday because we have family Dinner every Sunday with the In Laws and Grandmother and Sister in Law. We all take turns cooking on Sundays. I will let myself eat a little of something bad but I have to remember to cheat in portion control. Just because I choose to cheat doesn't mean I can eat whatever and how much. I am only allowing myself to only drink water and a few unsweet tea here and there.

...Eat Clean!!

2. Drink at least 70 ounces of water ever single day. This is very hard for me due to I'm not a big drinker. I only seem to drink when I eat so I have to make it a habit to always carry or have a bottle of water with me.
Water drink it in the mornings
3. Workout 4-5 times a week. I have been lifting weights and trying to work my way up heavy. I'm finding that I love it but my Cardio sucks. My SIL and I have been working out and have had a schedule
Monday: Lower body & Couch25k
Tuesday: Upper body, Cardio
Wednesday: Couch25k
Thursday: Lower body & Cardio
Friday: Upper body & Couch25k
I am always looking for new workouts. On upper body day I feel like I don't get a good workout as far as calories are involved I def don't burn enough to satisfy me so I on the hunt for an awesome arm workout that makes my arms on fire. I have been doing the Julian Michaels arm workout. I feel like I need to add more to it but don't know what.

Go work out! Learn one more way to achieve the summer bod that doesn't involve only crunches: http://fashmagsbypamm.blogspot.com/2013/06/theres-more-you-can-do-to-achieve-that.html

4. Couch25k I want to get off week 3. I cant get off week 3 to save my life. I have been running on a treadmill inside and recently started running outside and it is so much harder. I'm trying to get my mind right and finish week 3 its like I do good Monday and then Tuesday I struggle and Friday and I just cant finish the last 3 minutes of running or I stop in between and walk for a minute. Its a mental thing I know and my legs will only hurt for a little bit.
C25K - Couch to 5K Trainer FREE for Android
5. Loose at least 7lbs. I didn't want to set my goal at 5 because I feel like 5lbs is always water weight and I seem to loose 5lbs then gain it back I can never loose more than 5 so I am going for it and setting the bar high for me at 7lbs. I know you are not supposed to count weight only inches so I measure myself and will measure again once the month is over. I hope I loose inches in my wide hips
Loose weight for the big day!
There it is my November goals. I am more determined than I think I have been ever and I am blogging about it so I can be held accountable. I mean who want to blog at the end of the month about not meeting and of her goals, right?

Any good workouts or recipes I would love them

Beau Carter has finally arrived

Last Thursday my Mom called to inform me that my Sister n Law water was in labor and was being admitted to the hospital to have the baby. I was so excited and knew the kids would be too. I picked them up from school and we headed on over to the hospital. We walked and I went back to be with Amanda and my brother and that's when the nurse came in checked her and quickly realized it was time. The next thing I know Beau Carter was here and doing great. Her due date was Halloween and she knew she was going to go in labor early and sure enough she did.
Piper was so excited to see her knew baby brother she went to crying and said Ive just got to hold him. It was the precious thing I think I have ever seen. She didn't like that he had to go into the nursery and get checked out and she could only see him through the window and she talked to him and stayed at that window being the best big sister.

He came out hungry and was ready to nurse.

Piper finally holding baby Beau Carter
She is so sweet with him and I know she is going to be a big help

Of course Honey couldn't wait to get her hands on him either. I didn't want to take him out and share he was  just that sweet and I haven't had a baby in a long time. Piper is such a smart independent little thing she no longer is a baby she is such a big girl. My kids were all wanting him so I had to share and they just loved having another little cousin and Rhett loves not being the only boy.

Everyone is doing wonderful and they are home happy and healthy.

Weekend Where Abouts

I figured the best way to get caught up on my blog was not to do individual post but to cram them all into one. So here you go:
Weekend Where Abouts
The kids were out of school Friday due to Teachers Conference so that means its a perfect time for a shopping trip. The kids were needing Fall/Winter clothes and the weekends are always crazy this was perfect timing. We headed out for Mississippi early Friday morning and stopped by Starbucks to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte Venti to get us up and going.

Dogwood Festival Market & Promenade is one of my favorite places to spend a day away from home or a weekend would be perfect. It is only 2 1/2 hours away so its not to bad. While there we can also stop by Northpark Mall and Renaissance. Its tons and tons of shopping all within minutes of each other. With that many shops we didn't get to go in half of them especially with kids it takes a little longer. Their Target is larger than ours and I could live in Target.

We has lunch at a Mexican place that was heavenly. They def didn't skimp on the food either.
Looking rough...Up at 6am and shopping with kids. Mauri was being very honoree that day.
I know I have a stain dripping down my shirt. Took a sip of my PSL and my lid wasn't on good UHH

While at a kitchen store which are my favorite stores ever I found this cute corncob whisk and was in a pack with a carrot whisk too and can we talk about a huge spatula. My first words when I saw this was OMG how awesome would that be as my new spanking paddle. So I decided to give it a try Saturday morning while making Pumpkin pancakes.

The kids loved making these and were so easy and fun.

I got my hair done and went on a different route this time and added in some red freak streaks. I am in love with it and wondering why I didn't do it sooner. We all need freak streaks!
Saturday night we went to eat at River and Rail Cantina had a few drinks, Guacamole and Nachos.
I know Mexican again yes we love it

Then the haunted house
As soon as we got in line we saw some of our favorite PVA high schoolers. The girls were s lil freaked out watching the craziest run around and scare the people in line while the Sister n Law and I reminisced about our high school Haunted House days. They found out the girls names and would walk up to them and yell their names. They were like they know our names YIKES

We couldn't take any pics inside Christi got her phone out to take a pic and they almost escorted us out. LoL We sent Christi in first and then myself, Maci, Gracie, and Kammie. We all screamed, laughed, and ran. It was so much fun and cant wait to go back!

Sunday we went to Sunday School and Church then came home and relaxed the rest of the day.

That night we got ready for the Broncos vs Colts game and ate Sunday dinner at the In Laws.
Peyton is my #1 yes even beating out Drew Breeze I loved him before anyone knew who Drew was and I love him still. I didn't like the loss but you win some and loose some but some you just want to win because of who they are playing and this was one of them.
I wanted that win more than a super bowl
