Friday Favorite...Im obsessed

I am trying to get healthy....well the truth is I'm trying to loose weight because I have the Farmers brothers wedding and I want to rock my bridesmaids dress, shower dresses and all the other parties. Plus it is summer time and I know I need to shed a few for bathing suit time.
As I was on the hunt for what I should do because exercise and I aren't friends I think I would rather have the stomach virus or flu than exercise. So I knew I need to eat healthy that way I wouldn't have to exercises that much lol.
 I came across this blog Fitting Back In and feel in love with her story. She also has Kelly's Healthified Kitchen. I knew it was a sign when I saw her name :)

Kelly cooks smart and healthy with tons of flavor. Just because she is cutting calories doesn't mean she is cutting flavor. Her blog is so helpful from her Detailed-Meal-Plan which is a packet that includes for the week: meals, shopping list, and if you want to do it all in one day or you can do it each day. I'm in love with the fact that I can get this packet and have all the meals I am going to cook for that week with grocery list and a step by step prep and cook guide.
My brain is so excited and overwhelmed with such wonderful things I cant describe it all in this post. What Im pinning Wednesday

This desk/nook area in kitchen is a wonderful idea because that's where most of our family is 24/7.I don't know why but we all seem to meet or stay in the kitchen 90% of the time. We hardly ever spend time in the living room unless it is a  movie night. Right now the office in our house is in its own room and all of our pens, papers, makers, you know that kind of stuff is in there and we are usually going in the office and being what we need to to kitchen and doing whatever at the bar or table because that's where everyone is. So this would be perfect because everything is is right in the kitchen and no going back and forth. It would just be so handy. I would love to make the back cork board that way I could pin up things.

This is a great idea for a fun and different birthday gift.

I am in the process of making this on a wall in our house. My kids are always asking why I throw their stuff away and my answer is always the same...I don't like stuff! Besides you still have the memory right? Well this has fixed that problem, I love how they can be happy that Mommys not throwing away their stuff and I am making them happy by keeping it and not having OCD panic attacks for clutter.  I ordered the vinyl letters from Etsy and when it comes it and I get it finished I will be sure to post a picture.

Isn't this hilarious? As soon as I saw this I cracked up then knew I had to send it to my Mother-n-Law, yes you heard me I sent this to my MIL. We have a really good relationship and I knew she would get a kick out of it too. Needless to say she loved it as much as I did!

Not only is she a genesis but look how gorgeous she is.

I have been trying to find a picture or art canvas for for entrance way and wanted it to be Ranchy and Rustic. I love the old red barn and of course the donkey, we have 2. I am on the hunt for something similar to this that I can buy give my entrance a lift.

Weekend Recap

Like Bret Michaels always says: Whatssa goin on? 

With it calving season here on the Ranch we are always on the watch for new calves to hit the ground.

While school is in I love and I do mean I live for Fridays. I know that if we have no plans for that night I like to get my dinner finished or at least started before I leave to pick up the girls from school. So Rhett and I decided to make Spaghetti & Meatballs. I just love this lil Punk! Totally melts my heart

We are so in love with Netflix and currently cant get into Heartland. Its a TV series about a Ranch and the Mom died in car wreck while trying to rescue a horse and daughters are taking care of the Ranch with the help of her Papaw. It started in 2007 I think but just found it and playing catch up. Only 2 seasons are on Netflix so we ordered the rest of the seasons. We had 0 plans so that meant we would be piled up for the night.

When it got really dark we went to check out the new arena lights and see if it truly lit up the while arena like we were told. The kids ran wild and loved the light, they could play all night long.

  Saturday was another no plans day. Wow we had the while weekend nothing to do no where we had to go. Cant even begin to tell you how excited I was. After sleeping in we did a routine cow check and look what we found: another newborn calf. This is Chubby's 3 boy. She has had one every February

I cant stand weird TomBoy so it was huge to beat him AGAIN!!!

While the game was going on I did a little browsing and found myself a little Valentines present

and that was my lazy weekend.

One alive on the H5

On our daily cow check we found this little precious thing.

This is our first calf from our other bull aka Woody {Rhett named him,can you tell he loves Toy Story}

I am so in love with him and he is the sweetest thing. He is so gentle and curios usually they are a little timid and the Momma isn't going to having that but not the case this time. He is so gentle I am thinking about going ahead and start working with him so in time he can be the kids show cow. 4H here we come. I always loved 4H. I think when they took out God and 4H out of school that's when our kids got bored and ventured on to try adventurous things. Some schools no longer has 4H OCS is one of them. Such a shame!!!

Momma and baby boy is doing great and the milk is plentiful and calf is sucking so that is an A+.
I think this is by far the prettiest calf we have ever had. Our bull is black and white so we were surprised when it was red. the kids are in heaven playing with the newest member to the H5 Ranch family. We are in the process of naming him so if you have any suggestions.
Only bad thing about living on a farm is when we have a calf and the kids holler at their daddy to check and see for balls or no balls. What happened to girl or boy? I have to correct this...kids please don't go to school and tell your teacher your Daddy had to lift the cows legs to look for balls. Needless to say I went to my trusty Amazon and ordered:

Cheesy but true..My farmer. He is the selfless person I know and always puts us before everything. Everything he does he does it big. When he loves he gives his whole heart, when you want to know something like it or not he will tell you. He is all no quit, the determination and grit he has amazes me. When it comes to Fatherhood I cant say enough. I love the bond they have with each other. He our Rock.

Cows, they are peaceful and super easy.

Def Late sleeper. I wish I was a morning person because I feel that I could get going earlier and get things accomplished sooner. When I wake my brain doesn't work until Ive been awake for an hour.
