Coffee my way

Today I am teaming up with MayFair talking about #CoffeeMyWay. I get out of bed knowing that I can have coffee. It literally is the only thing that makes me get up. I am not a morning person so I need a little something to make my morning better and wake me up. I get up turn my Keurig on. While I was on our girls trip to New York we went to the Kelly & Michael show and I purchased this mug and its my favorite mug thus far. I seem to have a habbit of collecting mugs.

While the Keurig is heating I light the candles and turn on my Scentsy. I have an obsession with smells and love a good smelling house.



By now my the water is heated and its ready to pick out which K-cup I am feeling for that day. I don't have a favorite that I use everyday. It all depends on my mood for that day or week. My favorites that I go to are Starbucks, Folders, and Donut Shop while the hubs only likes Community. This is why I love my Keurig because I can pick and choose flavors. I have been using great value zero calorie sweetener for my coffee and I put 3 individual packets into my coffee. I then add a splash of 2% milk. Then my coffee is good to go



 

I take my cup of coffee into the living room and sit down for my morning ritual: I start out with my Jesus Calling devotional, next I take a look at the EC planner and see what the day has in store, then I will get on the computer and blog, check emails, do a little online shopping or Pinterest pinning. After that my coffee is all gone and its time to start job as a Mommy and Wife.

Meal Planning Monday

Trying to start my week of right by getting back organized. I looked at this weeks calendar and started to meal plan for the week and this is what I've come up with. You can find these recipes on the original link or my Pinterest

Monday:
Slow cooker meatball subs



Tuesday:

Wednesday:
Ultimate Oven Fried BBQ Chicken Quarters



Thursday:
this is the way to go when you need something easy and have a ground beef and rice craving, their Gumbo is wonderful and easy also

 

 

 

Friday:

Grilled Pork Tenderloin courtesy of My Boo 

Marinade:

equal parts of soy sauce, vegetable oil, and worcestershire sauce

throw marinade and pork tenderloin into zip lock bag and refrigerate for at least an hour, gill

 

 

and because its Friday and we've made it through the week I have me a little totty while I'm grilling

What Im reading while stuck inside

While have an entire week out of school and being so unproductive I caught up on some books that were stored in my kindle app. A friend of mine and I were discussing The Partner by John Grisham and she said well if you like that book then you would also like the series of Untouchable, Unforgivable, & Untraceable. So I downloaded the samples (that's what I always do to see if I am going to like it or not and after reading it I knew yes I am going to have to keep on reading. If you haven't read these then you have to add them to your list of books.

Deployment Ceremonry 1023rd

 

Maci's teacher had a friend that her husband is being deployed.

She thought this would be a great field trip and a way to get the kids involved and show support to our troops. I knew I was going to need tissues so I bought a whole box.

 I cant say enough thank yous to these brave men and women.

This is where I totally lost it when I saw his daughters shirt.

Its so true and I think a lot of times we get so caught up in our daily lives that we forget that each and every day these families are without their loves ones. I know she is so proud of her Daddy

Congressman Ralph Abarham was there to speak and show his support to the troops.

He spoke to the kids and asked the questions about politics and how important education is. 



This was so touching and I think this was one of the most special and we will not forget this field trip. If you have never been to a deployment ceremony I encourage you to do so.

H5 heads to dey Bayou

 

As soon as basketball ends softball starts. We had one free weekend left in between them so we loaded the kids up and headed South on down to Baton Rouge to watch LSU girls play a double header. When we woke the kids up they are so grouchy and irritable and I thought lets just stay at home I am not dealing with them all day like this but as we got on the road they turned around their moods and it was a great day to say the least.

I  know what you are thinking: How does a Bam lovin girl enjoy anything involving LSU?

Here is my answer: I was a LSU fan Saban was there and when he left I went with him but still cheering on the Tigers also and then the more I watched them the more Les Miles worked all up on my nerves child and I just couldn't take it. My heart lies with Saban. He reminds me so much of my Boo and I just roll with Saban so I am basically a no teams fan I am a Saban fan.

So there ya have it I don't dislike or hate LSU its Les that I despise.

 

 For lunch we decided to grab something close around the campus.

We came across Walk-On's Bistreaux & Grill

It was delicious and if you are ever around I would def suggest you stopping in.

I got the Shrimp PoBoy, kids got thin fried catfish, and Nick got a chicken and bacon sandwich and for out appetizer of course we got the cheese fries.

On the beverage napkins this is what we found.

We stopped by the LSU boys practice game at the Alex Box stadium

We had really good seats and the weather was warm it was a perfect day for some softball

The hubs is always thrilled when taking pictures can you tell?

Crazy story I came across this girl on vine and followed her for a while not realizing that she played for LSU softball until last year when I started following her IG. I can honestly say my girl B turned me onto LSU softball. Right after that LSU came to the college in the nearest town and we went and watcher her play while Maci watched her favorite Baylee Corbello 

 

Every time LSU would strike a player out they throw 3 t-shirts out to the crowd.

LSU won the first game and now its on to the next

I know her Daddy didn't know what to do be happy or worry for her future. LOL

She has always been a Longhorn fan until yesterday I think this trip may have converted her so we shall see. I mean her favorite color has always been purple.

Every time we come through Natchez we have wanted to eat at Roux 61 but it was either closed or the wait time was out of this world long. We came through around 9:45pm and finally got to stop in.

It didn't disappoint either. I see why the wait is always long. Ah-maze-ing!

We got the cheese sticks and they were huge.

I got the Roux61 pasta and it was one of the best things I've ever put into my mouth.

The shrimp were enormous and the sauce was out of this world. 

 

My Rhett man was glad we finally got to enjoy this place



We are already planning another trip back
