Shooting some B-ball...

outside of school...
Sorry I just had to

WARNING: picture overoad
Mauri had her Pee Wee basketball game at Riverfield last weekend.
She may be the smallest one on the court but she is ready to play and came to win.
Maci has been playing for years now so that's all Mauri knows she has been going to all of her practices and games for years now and she has had 3 years of intermural basketball before this.

She had to take a picture of her shoes and said: Tip Toeing in my Jordans
She wouldn't tell a sole where she go her shoes. Everyone was asking her and she replied its a secret I don't want anyone else to get them. We all know Mauri is just like her Momma and couldn't wear some ugly shoes so she hunted and found these.

Maci & Paige:
I owe a huge thank you to these 2 for taking all of the pictures and videoing the game for me
I love these 2 girls

We love our favorite Coach Chad

Rhett is to young to play but he has been at the boys practices and supporting them all the way

When she is nervous shooting Free Throws

Just look how little she looks

Getting some air in her air jordans

The game came to an end with the score 4-4
{Bragging moment: Mauri made 3 of those points}
We had to go into overtime and no one scored so they took 5 off the team and lined them up to shoot free throws to see who had the most and whoever had the most would be the winner. It came down to Mauri being the last person and so far no one has made a single free throw so it was all on Mauri's shoulders. Talk about nervous I was so nervous and I can only imagine what she was thinking.
So here she goes:

She made it!!!!! WE won the Game

Her team coming out congratulating her.
This team is a great group of girls

Mauri & Elle
These girls have came along way from their first intermural basketball games

Rhett's first deer

Rhett and Nick have been hunting and while Rhett was so excited they waited and thankfully one came out. A doe came out and Rhett waited for the buck to follow but in the middle got a call about a cow in trouble his head was stuck in a gate so Nick told Rhett if he was going to shoot then he needed to shoot because they had to leave and get the cows head out of a gate. He took one shot and that doe was down and he was on cloud nine.

geting better

I am trying to get back into blogging and taking pictures. After all I love looking back and I cant look back if I don't take pictures and blog.

I had begin slipping away from God and my quite time because I thought I was to busy and I would get to it later well that later never came and it would be the next week and I would say the same thing until my brain and body was just over being busy. I couldn't take another day without being at home with no where to go. I realized that the reason I felt so out of control and loosing it was my I was far away from my rock. I vowed that I would not let the business of the world control me instead I would control it with God on my side and the help of a few prayer warriors. I loaded an extra bible and a devotional in my car that way I would not have any excuses.

When I start my day off in his word my day goes better and I feel more at peace

Maci was having headaches and I kept asking her why she was getting them so frequently and she would just say I don't know. Until I questioned all of her activity, food, how long she was on her phone or tv and she finally came clean and said I cant see but I haven't told you because I don't want to have to wear glasses. I just threw my hands up... I knew it I knew something wasn't right.
I made her an eye appointment asap
Can you see how excited she is? I tried to explain to her that they made contacts so she might not have to wear glasses. That didn't do the trick, she was just not into it. Come to find out her softball coach told her to get her eyes checked but she didn't tell me because her fear of wearing glasses.

This poor child of mine is blind...
They told her good thing she isn't getting her license because she wouldn't be able to because of her vision. Now being a year shy of getting her permit that spoke volumes and then she began to get it.
One eye was 20/50 and the other was 20/60 and her left eye has a stigmatism.

The doctor showed her how to put contacts in and take them out and how to care for them. I had to pay attention because Nick and I don't wear glasses or contacts so this is new for us.

We ordered her a pair of glasses just incase she needs to let her eyes rest from contacts or don't feel like putting her contacts in she can just throw on her glasses. We ordered these frames and they will put her lenses in them we should get them back next week.

After the eye doctor I took my big out to lunch
at our favorite Mexican place before I took her back to school.

She had a basketball game that afternoon. It was a really good game I love close games.
Maci's 3 pointers were so much better they were hitting the basket. Amazing what a trip to the eye doctor can do for you when you can finally see.

I'm so proud of my #23

talk about a close game it came down to the last few seconds
we lost by 2 points but enjoyed the exciting game

After the girls basketball game its time to change into her cheer uniform
and get to cheering for the boys game.
